StuffPosted by Martin Wed, July 01, 2009 13:41:28 Here is a video of me shooting the band The Murder Of My Sweet. It's in Swedish but has English subs. Thanks to Lasse at Nilamedia who shot this video!
I'm in the middle of a lot of work but new photos will be up soon!
StuffPosted by Martin Mon, June 01, 2009 22:47:35 I went to Stockholm this weekend to do some shooting. On friday I did some crazy zombie shots with my friends from You Ate My Dog (YAMD @ Myspace), which was really fun, and on sunday I shot The Murder Of My Sweet (TMOMS @ Myspace) for their world release. The TMOMS shoot was a really great experience with tons of nice people. The photos will be up later... My pal Fredrik Rollman assisted me on both shoots. Big thanks to Richard from Maria Nila who did the hair, Matilda and Ida who did the make up, Elin from Filippa K who lended us clothes and helped out on the shoot. You all did a terrific job. And of course the band also did a great job, especially the singer, Angelica.
Pictures will be up as soon as they let me post them. ;)
StuffPosted by Martin Fri, May 22, 2009 19:01:01 Check out the new layout for my website which I finished today! Some things are still missing (web design, digital art) but that will be up soon.
Aaaand I'm back from Florence. You can find a few of the shots on the new website if you go to page 2 in the photo section! Florence was awesome by the way. It sucked to go back to the cold and rainy Sweden again. I really had a great time there partying, swimming in the sea, shooting and eating LOTS of good food. I'm so going back there! I might post some of the photos I took in Florence later (not the fashion shots but the ones from my sight seeing tour with Maria).
StuffPosted by Martin Thu, April 30, 2009 11:22:13 I haven't been very good at updating my blog lately. I'll try to change that!
So what's new? I'm working on some nice stuff at the moment. Promo shots and myspace layout for Saving Joshua's upcoming release and promo shots for Burning Libra (Catapult Music Group):
Thanks a lot to Fredrik Rollman who assisted me on both sessions.
I had a meeting with Daniel and Angelica from the band The Murder Of My Sweet (Catapult Music Group) and we are all excited about the shoot the 31th of May. I'll give some more details about it later on but I can tell you it's pretty much bound to be awesome. ;) I also have a third session with You Ate My Dog the 23rd of May.
I'm also working on a new website which will be much better with more (and bigger) photos and also a small portfolio for my webdesign (although there're just myspace layouts at the moment) and one for digital art. It will be up soon but it's hard to say exactly when. I've been working on it for a few days and I'd say it's 50-60% finished.
Also, I'll be going to Florence, Italy, the 7th to the 12th of May. I'll be doing some fashion shots with a good friend of mine and also another girl. I'll only bring a camera, two lenses and a reflector disc so it will be interesting lighting it. I'll post the photos here when I'm back!
StuffPosted by Martin Sat, February 28, 2009 05:23:29 That's what I've been doing for 12 hours or so. A new design for my myspace. Not for my website. For my myspace. Funny how it (in my opinion) looks better than my actual website... Maybe I should make a new design there as well.
I have one problem I can't seem to get around though. In FireFox the top friends end up on the left side instead of the center, as in IE. And some links in the comments are shown in FireFox but not in IE. Oh well, no big deal.
StuffPosted by Martin Wed, February 18, 2009 14:06:44 And I'm back again with a brand new internet connection, some new equipment and also new clothes.
So what has been going on since I left for Gothenburg? Not much to be honest. Some equipment broke the last time I was out on a job so I've been taking a short rest. The thing was that I couldn't order new equipment until I got back online. But now I have ordered the stuff and I'm ready to begin shooting again.
And also, for the Swedes, go check out the latest issue of Close-Up Magazine as I have three of my photos in it. Somehow they managed to write my name correctly on all photos except for one which says "Martin Svensson". I wonder who that is. They also mixed up two of the photos. The Chemical Vocation shot is where the herbrightskies shot should be and vice versa. Come on guys..
So, what does the future hold? On friday I'm shooting the band Kid Down and on the 26th it's another session with Saving Joshua. I have quite a lot jobs coming up but have no dates for them all yet so I'll announce them later. I've also been talking to Daniel, frontman in the upcoming band Kadawatha, and as they now have all 5 members they want to do another session. Go check them out on myspace, really great stuff. Kadawatha @ MySpace They have a showcase for Warner, Universal and Sony BMG at Obaren in Stockholm the 25th this month so be sure to be there!
StuffPosted by Martin Wed, January 28, 2009 01:44:06 Bombombombom...
I'm moving to Gothenburg to my new crib. I'm also switching to another ISP and my internet will be out for like a week or so. If I'm not lucky enough to find a unprotected wireless network nearby... Anyways. It'll take a few days for me to get going over there and the internet will work again from the 9th of february. So until then I will most probably not be able to check my email so CALL ME if you want to contact me! The number is +46(0)700431427.

So, if we would talk photography (which I guess is the reason you're here), what have I been up to lately? Well I shot the band Herbrightskies from Jönköping. You can find them here: herbrightskies @ myspace.com
We took three shots and two of them will be featured in the swedish pop magazine OKEJ. Second time for me to have photos there now. Pretty fun! The third shot isn't done yet but I'll fix that soon. Here is one of the shots for you guys. Gangsta style! Will be up on the site soon.
And I have also shot the band Solitude from Värnamo. Solitude @ myspace.com You can find one of the shots on my website, it's the casino one. Anyway, I just worked a few long hours on their last shot, which is the coolest one in our opinion. I don't know if this is the finished version but I like it. It's a panorama and the original is enormous but here is a (extremely) small preview:
My next blog entry won't be until I get my internet connection again so till then, ciaoooo.
StuffPosted by Martin Sat, January 10, 2009 16:36:04 Alright so I decided to create a blog. Tune in here once in a while to find out what I'm up to. Here I'll post behind the scenes photos, new work before it hits the real website and stuff like that. Maybe I'll even make tutorials for you guys.
So if you're interested in what I do, this is the place to find out!
